More than 25 years ago, two friends from Pennsylvania had a dream of their own. They wanted to establish a company to build eco-friendly resorts and residential communities in Central America for folks in North America yearning for an experience and lifestyle surrounded by nature. And so E.C.I. Development was born.
Mike Cobb was a successful technology entrepreneur, and Joel Nagel an international attorney who is still based in Pittsburg. Pennsylvania. The company they created now extends to many parts of Central America, and even has a new property in the Azores.
Mike and Joel also established what is now one of the most prominent banks in Central America, Caye International Bank. Their goal was to make it possible for people in North America, and beyond, to finance their home or investment property in the region.
